News Flash!.... Russ Wey is taking the King of the Lake to "A" Tier.... Super Tour! Three days, five....yup five courses.

Father's Day weekend in June. Starting Friday we will play Kirkwood and Turtle Rock Park. Saturday we move to Zephyr Cove and Tahoe Vista. Sunday we play Bijou only. More holes will be added to Bijou to accommodate more players if needed.

Does that mean it's finally going to be a NorCal Tournament?

Nope. We don't believe in the $5 tax. It cuts into the payout. We don't even charge club fees.

We pay all the different park fees and PDGA fees. The PDGA gives us cheap insurance in return. The parks..... well, we need to support the entities that support us.

What has the $5 per tournament fee done for you? Myself, I got a hat one year for qualifiing for the skins. It just doesn't add up. Do you choose to play tournaments specificaly because they are in the Norcal Series?

That's a very good point, I play this tournament regardless of being in the NorCal Series or not.. but I never heard the reasoning behind KOTL not being in the NorCals.  Thanks for the clarification, every tournament up that way I've been to has been top notch.. so I'm not complaining LOL!
